Our fee based approach

Our aims are to be clear and unambiguous when providing timely and valued independent financial planning advice.

Our services are fee based to ensure the issue of commission can never affect the impartiality of the advice given.

Our services are charged on a fixed price basis, or a chargeable hourly rate. Commission generated is credited against any fees due. This transparency of charging promotes an atmosphere of trust as we are able to review individual circumstances objectively and not for the maximum amount of commission possible.

FEE SCHEDULE – 2007/08

TIME COSTS

Hourly rated fees are based on the experience and qualifications of each member of staff.  We aim to have all members of staff qualified to a level appropriate to the work in which they are involved.  Examinations set by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) such as the Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) and Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC) are used as the benchmark.

The rate ranges from £ 50 .00 per hour to £ 175.00 per hour

The service we are able to provide to investment clients, or providing annual portfolio review statements and reports will usually be charged as a percentage of the funds under management and will be invoiced accordingly.

All time spent working on client matters are held by the company electronically and can be requested at any time.

Some work may be invoiced at a pre-determined cost; these would be subject to discussion between the client and us. Examples of these could be supplying duplicate reports, occupational pension scheme wind-ups or annual fees for consultation with members of a group personal pension scheme.

VALUE ADDED TAX

It should be remembered, that the question of whether remuneration takes the form of fees or commission has no bearing on whether VAT is chargeable. The normal principle is that the service of arranging investments is exempt from VAT but other services may be chargeable.
